Good conversation

What an interesting evening! I went to church tonight for Thursday service and only 10 or 15 people showed. Must have been the cold! Pastor T had a very interesting sermon about speaking the Word of God.

He told the story of Jeremiah and how God told him that he was speaking and teaching what God “wanted ” him to. It didn’t come from inside the human. It came from God!

Now, i’m not a philosopher or theologian and my faith is not as strong as it should be. I got home tonight and got to tinkering with Trillian, trying to get Yahoo signin to work again. I got it fixed and low and behold My nephew G signed on and said HI!

I haven’t had more than maybe 10 or 15 minutes at a time of chat time with the boy since his mother(My Sister) passed away in 2001. Matter of fact I have only seen him 3 or 4 time since that time.

Tonight I got the chance to chat with him online for about an hour all in one sitting. It was good. We chatted man to man. We have never done that!

I “know” God made that happen. I think that that was one of the things in God’s plan all along. Why else would He have made a “God fearing” woman so sick with that cancer and taking her at a young age unless, it was to make “me” have conversations and make the contact I was able to tonight.

I will be dreaming about this for days now. Was this a lesson to make me a better Father? I guess we will see. For now I’ll just go spend some time talking to God and thank him.
